SHORTHORN JUNIORS SHOW FOR NAILE SOLUTION PROGENY SWEEPS

OMAHA, Neb., (December 6, 2010) – Shorthorn cattle hit the well-known green chips once again this year in Louisville, Ky., to compete for the prestigious National Champion titles on Nov. 15th at the North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE). Evaluating one of the strongest, most competitive shows at NAILE was Mark McCully, Certified Angus Beef, of Wooster, Ohio, and associate judge Ray Ramsey of Greenfield, Ind., evaluated the 277 females and 54 bulls for the show.

Claiming Supreme Champion Shorthorn and National Champion Female honors was Jordan Crall of Albia, Iowa with CYT MAX ROSA 9111 ET, which was the Junior Champion Division Female. This March 1, 2009 born female was sired by CF SOLUTION X ET. The January 21, 2010 heifer calf, CYT DREAM LADY SOLUTION ET, owned by Ben Weikert of Gettysburg, Pa. captured the Reserve National Champion Female title as well as the Junior Heifer Calf division. Weikert’s heifer is also sired by CF SOLUTION X ET.

Fusion Cattle Company of Mendota, Ill., exhibited the Champion Pair of Females. The Super Cow award went to WHR V8 DESTINY CHOICE 3948 ET, owned by James Sullivan of Dunlap, Iowa.

Claiming the National Champion Bull title was SULL STOCKMAN 0233 ET sired by CF SOLUTION X ET and was the Junior Bull Calf Division Champion. The February 24, 2010 bull calf is owned by Sullivan Cattle Company of Dunlap, Iowa. The Reserve National Champion Bull was awarded to CF FLEX, owned by Cates Farms of Modoc, Ind. The January 2, 2010 bull calf was sired by CF SOLUTION X ET and also claimed the Reserve Junior Bull Calf Division title.
